Family Therapy
Family Therapy is an opportunity for you and your family unit, or aspects of your family unit, to work towards improving the dynamic. At one point or another, family units experience hard times. It’s inevitable. However, not all family units come out closer than ever. Family therapy can help improve communication, dynamics, process situations together, and improve the relationships between each family member.
-
It is typically most beneficial for all members of the family unit to attend every family therapy session. Sometimes, that isn’t practical though. In most situations, it is best for the family members that are directly involved in the need for improvement to attend sessions.
-
This is common. When there are multiple people involved, such as in family therapy, different family members may have different ideas of what they think could benefit from improvement. The family and Ashleigh will work to get to the core of what is really desired by the family members. Usually at the core of the desires, there’s a common trend. Ashleigh will help explore this and ensure all family members are on board. It is okay if there is more than one goal to work towards!
-
We can’t force someone to attend and participate in a therapy session. If someone doesn’t want to be present, it is their right to choose not to be. Ashleigh will respect that choice. The rest of the family unit that is present will work towards the goals of therapy they have chosen and work towards improvement as best as we can!

If you are wanting to self-pay, where you are not utilizing insurance benefits, Ashleigh’s rates are $150 per 55 minute family session. Ashleigh is more than happy to provide a Superbill, which is a document you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Mind Oasis has no control over if your insurance reimburses you.
