Immigration Evaluation in Texas
Research highlights the significant impact of professional psychological evaluations on immigration case outcomes.
A major 2021 study published in the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine found that applicants who included a forensic medical or psychological evaluation in their case had an 81.6% success rate, which was nearly double the national asylum grant rate of 42.4% during the same period (Atkinson et al., 2021 study on PHR.org).

This crucial evidence helps strengthen your testimony and document the real-world consequences of trauma and hardship, significantly strengthening claims for asylum, hardship waivers, U-visas, and other forms of relief.
A psychological immigration evaluation can help you and your family during a critical time. These evaluations explain how trauma, mental illness, or emotional distress affect your daily life and ability to stay safe.
Courts, immigration judges, and lawyers often require clear, professional reports to support cases like asylum, U visas, VAWA, or removal defense.
A trained mental health professional will assess your symptoms, medical and family history, and how your experiences impact work, school, and relationships. They document diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and how likely symptoms are to continue without care.
This report can add important evidence that personal testimony alone may not fully show. For survivors of violence, trafficking, or persecution, a psychological evaluation can show the lasting harm and need for protection. It can also guide future treatment and help you access services.
Getting a careful, compassionate evaluation gives your legal team stronger support and ensures your emotional and medical needs are clearly described for decision makers.
